Cersaie 2024: Shaping the Future of Ceramics and Architecture in Bologna

The 2024 Bologna Cersaie Ceramic Exhibition, held from September 23 to 27, was an incredible event for professionals in the ceramics and bathroom furnishings industries. This prestigious fair, hosted at BolognaFiere, attracted over 600 exhibitors from 25 countries, occupying a vast 145,000 square meters of exhibition space. With more than 100,000 visitors anticipated, the event showcased cutting-edge designs and fostered collaborations through business networking and educational sessions.

This year’s exhibition theme, “Architectural Space,” explored innovative concepts spanning from domestic spaces to public areas, emphasizing sustainability and technology’s role in design. Highlights included keynote speeches from world-renowned architects like Riken Yamamoto, the 2024 Pritzker Prize winner, and Rudy Ricciotti, both of whom shared their insights into architecture’s future, urban planning, and the environment.

In terms of installation and technique, the 12th Tiling Town event provided master tile installers a platform to demonstrate cutting-edge ceramic tiling techniques, attracting attention from professionals keen to learn the latest in sustainable and inclusive construction methods.
